How to find the *right* plan for you...finally!
No matter what you do- follow these core values when picking a new course of action.

1. Add strength training to your routine I don't care how you do it, but you must strength train. With weights, bands, a can of soup in each hand- anything! A recent study shows that grip strength was a more powerful predictor of cardiovascular mortality than cardiovascular disease. WHAT! That means that how strong you are can predict how long you'll live, crazy right?

2. Ease up on the endurance exercise Running 10 miles a day? Doing 3+ high impact group fitness classes (with lots of jumping, plyos, etc.)? Exhausting yourself EVERY DAY? Please. Stop. Exercise is great for you but it's a double edged sword. It releases free radicals and causes inflammation (hello, soreness!) and without proper rest you'll never reap the benefits of your workouts. So slow down and truly rest, your body will thank you for it.

3. Be aware of what goes into your mouth Often times we overgeneralize about our diets. We make grand statements about "always eating clean" or "never eating sugar" when in reality it's just not true. Women tend to think their diets are a disaster, but if you're not tracking how do you know? Most of the hundreds of women I've worked with are actually UNDER EATING most days! Which leads to binging...giving up...etc. So track your food and see what's actually going on instead of judging yourself and guessing. Don't eliminate any food groups (unless you're allergic of course...)
